Nadine made me do it ......

My buddy and "PAL" Nadine gave the challenge this time for the The PTI PALs. Can you believe that she actually wants us to use our "Designer Paper" ........ I like to make it sound fancy :) Thankfully I bought 2 of this cute little Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday paper ....... I worked on my focal image first so I had to use the more muted side of the paper to begin with because there was just too much going on the other way. I had to go back to this card a few times because I was not feeling it ....... maybe because I am so hungry ........ diet's STINK ..... I actually thought this paper looked good enough to eat and no calories.



Now because I love the other side of the paper so much I had to make a notebook too ...... obviously this is going to someone I really like :)



I made a few magnets to put in my care package as well ........ I used my paper again ...... for the flower and a few buttons and then of course you know I have to throw in my signature green VW. You really cannot see the magnets too well because I wanted to make sure I got Emma's art in the photo ...... I am the one with the pink hair ....... this is how I am going to get my hair styled next time :) Notice there are smiles everywhere ..... that is how she draws colors and smiles on every thing


And here is a beautiful Peony against our grapevine ........ and the grapes are amazing!!!


Last but not least ....... little Ava is walking :) Yes I kiss and love up those legs all the time ...... she is a total peach!!!

Sun and Fun PTI Pals Challenge

Our challenge this time was issued by the lovely and talented Diane, you can find the challenge HERE. I created this fun little card with my girl Hula Sophia G. I got my cricut out for the Aloha and the wee flower on her antler. And that grass skirt ..... how cute right ?? I paper pieced that on after I covered it with lime green stickles. For sure you need sunglasses when you look at this card because it is bright or maybe my eyes are just tired........ see below for the reason.



So last night ...... the clock was ticking and the the new website for PTI was changed back to the old one, which was fine with me because it was moving very fast. I put all my little treats in my cart that I wanted and was all ready for the release at midnight, the biggest treat I put in there was Beautiful Blooms Die #1 ...... I have missed it every time but this time I would not be denied. I was all perky and watching the Yankee game waiting for the clock to strike 0000 ......... well that time came and went and I never knew it because shortly after my cart was all updated and ready to go I heard gun shots ....... yes I said gun shots. Our wonderful neighbors seems to have a few people that do not like them, a pack of wolves would have more manners. Apparently a car drove by and loaded the bullets through the windows on the first floor. We live in a row house so we are all attached. Curt was outside until 0100 with the detectives ........ at one point when I was out there the detective told everyone to go in and check to make sure no one was hurt. This is just the craziest thing ever ...... we live on a nice block and Europeans everywhere ....... I just do not understand. I guess it should not really surprise me ........ I have had several encounters in the wee hours of the morning ..... anyway no one got sleep last night ..... you know that whole yellow crime scene tape kinda throws you off. Now I am doubly MAD because they made me miss the release and hence I missed my dies yet again ..... I really do not think they care next door about my dies and papercrafting for some reason......

Gift

This is long post and I doubt I will have the brainpower to keep all the goodies used to make these cards. This is a birthday gift I made for my favorite client ...... she is total doll. I made her 8 different cards and put it all together in the "All Boxed up Templet" I forgot that foam tape took up so much room ...... the templet looks like me in my jeans ....... busting out a wee bit at the seams :) My issue is for another time but for this project thankfully I had some scor tape and my ATG gun ....... that sucker is not coming apart. I kept the whole "All Boxed Up" pretty simple ..... Kraft card stock and a distressed dot paper from my stash and then on the front I used my nesties to cut out these cute cute cute flowers from a piece of K and Company paper. The photos were hurried because she wanted to see me today and I had to run right out the door .



This first card I used A little Argyle and Life ....... Love me some LJ :) (Lisa Johnson)


This card is Delightful Dahlia w/ Berry Sorbet copics and paper. I added some dark chocolate just because I love that color combo and wanted to put some twill on as well.




Now up is the Daffodil from YOF ...... I used the summer sunrise copic trio and twill. I also used ripe avocado copics, the matching floss and a nice white button




Here is another card using DD and A Little Argyle stamp set and impression plate. The pattern looks very Burberry to me ..... oh I love that store :) I used Pure Poppy Copics and Ribbon. I also used Amy's idea found here with my rick rack die.


The next 2 cards I used my FAVORITE set ....... how much do I love that car?? Here is one for a baby girl ...... love that little ABC charm.......


And one for a little honey baby boy.

And last but not least a Sympathy card using emboss resist. I added an impression plate to play up the vintage cream cardstock. I swept the tea dye over the impression to make it stand out a bit more.



So that is it for me, after this post I need a glass of wine ......... I worked today came home made a fab dinner. Laundry in the AM and work in the evening and the same for Thursday ........ YIKES!!! Better catch up on sleep somewhere so I can be on my game for 0 Dark 00 on the 15th :)
