Miss You!!

I am totally missing my family that I worked for in NY.  I  call them my family because really that is how I feel about them, boy do I love them!!!  On a day when it was blah outside and the kids were taking naps because they were all sick, the doorbell rang and it was the postman with a package for me.  It was a box of homemade espresso truffles and a card.  I laughed at the card because it was one I had made and given in a package of cards as a gift.  When I gave them to her she said that she did not like anyone enough to give them one of the cards.  Her youngest daughter made the truffles and wrote the card about how she was thinking of me and they missed me.... oh lord I am such a wimp, I am all weepy writing this.  I guess this is good training for when my kiddies go away to college, or not maybe I will go with them to make sure they all know how to tap a keg properly and are drinking the right beer........ JK ....... I think.  So anyway, I baked for them ALL THE TIME and I am going to send them some treats in the mail next week so I thought I would make a card to put in the box.

The felt hearts kinda fade into the paper in this photo but not IRL.  Ava had other plans then me sewing on a card, like just holding the foot pedal down or stepping on my foot ......... she really is NUTS!!!

Here is a close up of the impression plate ...... I think this is my favorite one!!!

And just a quick photo of Ava to prove she is NUTS..... her hair was so cute for about 10 seconds
She is all ME :)

Have a GREAT WEEK / WEEKEND!!!!
xoxoxo

I love all the layers and added sweets - buttons, felt hearts, ribbon - LOVE. Abigail and Ava would be instant friends - we (notice how I include myself in that statement) always have bed-head/crazy hair too.

Oh, that card is lovely! I really like the impression plate - I don't have that one yet. I might need to change that. I'm sorry you're missing your friends, but it's always good to know that people miss you, too, right? :)

I'm also wondering if ALL Ava's are nuts, cause mine sure can be..lol

You had me at espresso truffles! What a sad thing to move from good friends, but how nice is the happy mail too!
Your card rocks Sue Ann. I love the stitching. What is the PP in the middle? I am terrible at combining red and green together without it looking holiday-ish, but you did amazing here. I think the tiny felt hearts are adorable and that brown bow is DELISH!
Ava can come stay at my house anytime she wants! Mussy hair and all. I just want to kiss her cheeks and feed her bon bons! LOL

"proper keg tapping procedures"? You are cracking me up!
I love this card- adore all the layers and rich colors.
I have a nut of my own with crazy hair, crazy hair that's past her butt, so when it's crazy, it's practically INSANE!! : )

(P.S.- do you need my addy so you can send me some of those cookies?)

I am weepy just reading this. Beautiful.. I love what she said about not having anyone special enough...and low and behold the card arrived. Beautiful. Your card is equally as special and totally befitting.

Oh,...and being a little nuts is good. ;) Love that!

Sue Ann....I totally loved reading about you and your friend/family! Your foodie you sent me for my birthday was just delish! I mean those little sandwich cookies. Is that a sacred secret recipe? If not, you must share! I think your comment about keg tapping was hilarious! I on the other hand will teach them one mean Beer Margarita! Oh my. :)

Little Ava....what a little angel! Really I could see wings in that photo! :)

Your little stitched felt hearts were the perfect touch to a very lovely layered card my dear!

What a heart warming post! It's sometimes great to cry because loving feelings catch up!! {{HUGS}} - your card is beautiful - I know they will feel the love when they open the mail! ( And how great to know YOU were special enough for one of your cards :0) Ava is a treasure - I guess you should just be grateful she's only trying to help drive the sewing machine at the mo, not the car L0L!

10 to 1 they miss you way more! You are such an awesome person. This card is one of my favs of yours. I too love that impression plate. The soft, warm reds and browns are so comforting. Now on to the laughs! OMG it was so funny when you called your little sweetie nuts, then you share that super cute pic of her and I laughed out loud. God is she cute. Hope you are well! Best, Curt

Sue Ann, of course this family misses you! I can tell through blogosphere what a warm, giving, and fun person you are. The card is full of so many fabulous layers, but shame on you--now I want that impression plate. And Ava is so precious, but do I detect a little mischief behind those big eyes and smile--like momma huh?
