Hula Girl

I do not take my cricut out as much as I should but I did for this birthday card since we were attending a Luau, yes I did attempt to do the hula with the girls but being a left handed blonde sometimes does not serve me well........ but now I have to learn because I will not let that grass skirt beat me :)  I made this right before the party and when I showed Curt he told me that I had to take a photo and put it on my blog because it was his favorite, anything that is about the beach is our favorite.  So here I am posting this cute little card I made for the party.

The center of the flowers for the lei were Raspberry rhinestones.  Recently when I was on my friend Amy's blog I saw this card and it kinda pushed me to do a "scene" card which I do not do often.  The skirt and the seashells both have a very fine glitter on them to bring it up a notch.

That is all today.
 Off to the gym, library,
home for lunch and then back to the pool.
Have a GREAT DAY!!!!

Completely adorable! How did you make the sand textured? It looks amazing! My Cricut is what let me to stamping and PTI, so it's very dusty.

Love the card. So glad you posted it!

By the way, how was the party? ;-)

Curt was right--this card must be shared! It is so darn cute and quite labor intensive! I can almost feel the sand between my toes.

What a fun card! You've added so much detail to your scene, and I'm just loving those coconut buttons!

Stop the presses! This has so much detail Miss Sue Ann.....I LOVE it! Totally makes me want to go back to the Caribbean! I love the palm trees with the coconuts and of course that fab sand! Wasn't it fun to do? I would NEVER have thought of that myself! Glad you are enjoying your summer......we were supposed to go swimming today but it's raining and thundering now. :( Kiddos are disappointed.

Nothing wrong with being a left-handed blonde! *wink* And Curt is right on, because ANYTHING having to do with the beach is top notch! Fun, fun, fun.
