Papertrey Pals

Our challenge over on Papertrey Pals this time was brought to us by Liz M. Basically we had to build whatever we were creating by using only one embellishment. I am typically TRY to follow the guidelines ..... this time I am not sure but it could be boarder line since my flower has a few different things going on but in my mind ( no smart thoughts or comments) I figured since the leaves go with the flower that would be okay and since no flower really has the same color all the way through I had to add a button and another layer of HS for the middle part. And then I did all that hard work of cutting the leaves and they needed something so I cut another layer of leaves ..... OMG this is starting to sound like my dog ate my homework. Great challenge Liz I had to really think to get this done ......... xoxox

lol! It's tough to make a card with 1 element. Nice job. I really like the paper you chose for the flower.

Your card looks great. I love the way you did the leaves. Thanks for your kind comments on my blog about the baby scrapbook pages. I am making them to give to very close family relatives now and in the future. I hope nature will cooperate and spread the boys and girls around so I don't run out of one sex right away! Just my luck. Great job on the challenge.

LOL I love reading your posts Sue Ann, they crack me up...it's like a run down of every thought as it goes through your mind!
I love the PP you chose to use for the flower. I kept looking at it thinking, "how did she make this sparkle?" but then i clicked on it so it was bigger and saw that it was the PP!. Very fun. I also like how you drew the line around and included the sentiment. Such a classy look.

I have got to start trying the lines around the focal. It really adds so much to the card and love your color combos, too. Very nice!

Love the frame around the flower and how the leaves extend over the card! Beautiful card and color combo, Sue Ann!!

PS: Sewing circles isn't a strength of mine either, so I just made it look like it's intentionally messy ;-)

This is gorgeous - though I thought about the If you Give a Mouse a Cookie story as you were explaining or rationalizing your flower. Absolutely stunning! Thanks for sharing.
